He is so Spoiled 3

 Chapter 3

Star Source Building.

Recording scene of "Tomorrow's Superstar".

The dazzling central stage is illuminated by flickering lights, and several cameras are aimed at the center of the stage, even capturing shots of the audience seats beside the stage.

Several boys stand under the cameras, awaiting the judges' scores, as if waiting for a trial.

Only the buzzing discussion of the audience is heard, and the boys in matching grey suits sit upright in the audience, with expressions of amazement or feigned nervousness as if suffocating, anticipating the camera's shot.

"XXX is really strong, that line 'our future' almost made me cry."

"Big companies are really different, money really changes everything. Why do I feel like I'm here to get tortured?"

"Cough cough, you should be more careful. If your agent hears you, you're finished."

The wait was very long. Team 26 had finally finished more than half of their performance. Su Nuo's group drew lot number 24 and they had been waiting since 7 in the morning. They were starting to lose their patience.

"Next up, the members of 'Star Entertainment' who will be performing, please come to the waiting area to prepare."

The team captain stood up first, and one by one, he shook hands with the three other members. "It's time. Let's go."

This was the last performance of the first round and the final team competition of the season. Those who ranked at the bottom would face the fate of being eliminated. So, this performance was crucial for everyone.

Su Nuo's group bowed to the judges and said in unison, "Hello, teachers. We are from Star Entertainment."

There were three judges sitting in the judge's seat, two men and one woman. In the middle was the veteran musician Zhang Fan, a middle-aged man in his forties with a head of medium-length, slightly curly hair. When he saw them approaching, he lifted his face from the score sheet and smiled warmly.

"Don't be nervous. Relax a bit. The stage is yours now."

Su Nuo took a deep breath, nodded, and closed his eyes. This was the only opportunity he had worked hard for over the past two years. If he missed it, there would be no second chance.

The whole venue fell silent.

"For all those times you stood by me, For all the truth that you made me……"

The clean and clear voice, accompanied by the piano, slowly emerged, lazy and soft like sweet nothings in one's ear. The standard American pronunciation was elegant and beautiful, gradually permeating every corner of the stage, even more captivating than the sound of the piano.

When he sang the first note, the judges had already looked over. After his first few sentences, their eyes were fixed on him, and not just the judges, but everyone was waiting for his next line.

Each turn and every tail note was accompanied by an endless tremble, circling, twisting, and surrounding the soft and sweet voice, unexpectedly tinged with a bit of hoarseness. The voice, somewhere between a boy and a man, scratched at the hearts of everyone in the room like a cat's paw.

The way he sang was not only incredibly focused, but also beautiful. Like a boy chasing after the light, the stars in his eyes shimmered with a fanaticism for singing and the stage. The fingers holding the microphone were slender and fair-skinned, his skin like snow, and his ink-black hair like clouds. The whole person was elegant and delicate, like a little prince walking out of a mysterious European castle.

"I am everything I am because you love me~"

Even after the last note dissipated into the air, the whole room remained silent, so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Perhaps this is what a mermaid's song sounds like.

Zhang Fan stared in amazement at the stage. For the first time, he felt that the word "stunning" seemed too weak and pale to describe the storm of shock and excitement that was suddenly surging in his heart.

He didn't expect to encounter such a talented singer in this talent show. Unable to contain his emotions, he couldn't help but smile with delight and anticipation, and said with vigor, "Very good."

Su Nuo gripped the microphone tightly and bowed once again.

The audience erupted into an uproar, with some taking pictures and posting on Weibo, while young girls couldn't help but excitedly stomp their feet and whisper "so handsome, so handsome, damn he's so handsome..."

The judges had a heated debate, with the main argument taking place between Zhang Fan and the program director. The other judges didn't dare to argue with him.

The director watched with a headache as Zhang Fan went crazy with anger, feeling his lungs ache. Zhang Fan was good in every aspect, except for his stubbornness. His donkey-like temper made it useless to reason with him, and he even threatened to quit the production.

The director reluctantly made a concession, saying, "Alright, alright, we can do the scene your way. But you have to understand that neither you nor I are the ones funding this project. The investors have their own goals, and if Su Nuo's popularity surpasses that of Song Jia Ning, it won't benefit any of us. This is the last time, okay?"

Zhang Fan was satisfied, as long as Su Nuo could make it to the second season, he didn't care about anything else.

Su Nuo was also very happy. As expected, he made it to the next round, which meant he would have more opportunities to appear on camera.

For Su Nuo, being on camera represented not only fame and popularity, but also the company's recognition and a chance to focus on creating his own music, instead of constantly chasing after attention.

He was only 18 years old, and even though he usually had a cold personality, he couldn't contain his excitement as he left the set, walking with a light and unnoticed spring in his step.

Watching his back, Zhang Fan couldn't help but feel regretful. He had noticed this young man in the previous rounds, with his graceful dancing and good temperament, diligent and not arrogant. Coupled with his stunning vocals this time, he was a natural fit for the entertainment industry.

If he had more opportunities to be on camera, Zhang Fan couldn't imagine how high this young man could go in the future.

Unfortunately...

He had no connections.

The outcome of this show had long been predetermined. Zhang Fan sneered inwardly, knowing it was just a matter of the rich and powerful using their influence to promote their own favorites. It was a shame to bury such a promising talent in his own hands.
